Recent Events

The Community Connections Club hosted a Polar Plunge and 5K on February 27th to benefit Special Olympics.  Participants were “Freezin’ for a reason” and raised over $140o for Special Olympics!

Art Club meets on Wednesday afternoons in Ms. Alghrary’s room from 2:45-3:45

FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) meets on Wednesdays in Mrs. Bennett’s room from 7:15-7:40.

Science Olympiad will begin meetings 3 times a week: Monday from 2:45-4 PM,  Wednesdays from 2:45-4PM Friday mornings from 7:15-7:30 If interested, please see Ms. Showers, Katherine Nguen, or Leigh Ann Philbee.

Queens Grant 4-H club ACE (Aiding Creatures Everywhere) with a focus in Veterinary Science and Agriculture will meet on Thursday afternoons from 3-4PM in Ms. Shower’s room. See Adriana Simmons, Cailey Pitman, or Ellen Kast for details.

Break Dance Club: Do you think you have the skillz to pay the billz–come show your stuff or learn a new step or two at the Break Dance club meeting every Friday after school until 4PM in Ms Shower’s room. See Rafa Torrez for more information.

Student Council meets on Thursday afternoons in Ms. Ince’s room from 3-4pm

Educational Technology Club: This club will explore the use of Technology in Education. Educational Technology includes, but is not limited to, software, hardware, as well as Internet applications and activities. Devices such as iPhones, netbooks, and google apps will be explored. Also, the E.T. Club will produce blogs, websites, and student peer reviewed articles featuring Educational Technology and Instruction for use by students and staff. The E.T.
