Dean of Academics: Mrs. Leslie Southerlandemail

Mrs. Southerland grew up in Mint Hill and was a North Carolina Teaching Fellow, graduating from UNC Chapel Hill in 1997 with a BA in Education.  She taught English at Independence High School for five years and Language Arts and French at Mint Hill Middle School for four years.  She and her husband have two boys and live in Mint Hill, where Mrs. Southerland writes a weekly column for the Mint Hill Times.  She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in New Media and Global Studies at Appalachian State University and hopes to graduate in May of 2010.

Dean of Administration: Mr. Mark Andreottiemail

Originally from Saginaw Michigan, Mr. Andreotti is a graduate of Fort Hays State of Hays, Kansas. He was formerly the athletic director at United Faith Christian Academy in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he also taught middle school and high school history, geography, and consumer math. Mr. Andreotti also served as the head baseball, basketball, and soccer coach at the varsity level. Mr. Andreotti lives with his family in Harrisburg, North Carolina.

Guidance Counselor: Kevin Cuthbertsonemail

Mr. Cuthbertson graduated from Wingate University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.  He has been in education for 16 years.  His positions have included:  Teacher, Science department chair, coach, and Guidance Counselor.

Athletic Director: Ms. Lauren Melloemail

Lauren Mello was born of Portuguese descent in Long Island New York.  She moved to Charlotte with her family in 1994.  Lauren graduated from Metrolina Christian Academy in 2005, and entered the North Carolina Dental Assistant Training School where she graduated in 2006.  Lauren began her career at Queen’s Grant as the Head Cheerleading coach when the school opened its doors.  She was moved into the position of Athletic Director that same year.
