Thank you for your interest in Queen’s Grant Preparatory High School – a public, no-tuition charter school committed to offering families in our community an excellent high school alternative to the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System.
This fall marks our third year of operations. Classes for grades 9-12 will begin on August 19 from our new location on Idlewild Road, at the site of the former Idlewild Country Club. This summer we’ve been readying this property to accommodate our over 400 students. We’ve also been expanding our academic offerings and welcoming aboard the finest possible teachers to help move us toward our goal of becoming one of the states most outstanding high school.
Many of our students are graduates of Queen’s Grant Community School in Mint Hill, which serves Kindergarten through 8th grades. Others come from traditional public, private or home schools from around our region. Every family that chooses Queen’s Grant is looking for a better way to educate young people. They’re all looking for a school that will give students the tools to succeed in school and in life. That’s what we’re about too.
We’re still taking applications for the 2009-2010 school year, particularly for students in the upper grades. If you’re looking for a place where your student can finish strong, let’s talk. Come to an Information Night or contact the school at 704.545.0736. You can also find email information under Contact Us on the home page of this site.
Thank you for your interest in Queen’s Grant Preparatory High School. Hope to see you and your student soon.
